About the specialization

Assistant of a dental technician replaced the original field of study, dental technician, in the school year 2005/06. The changes in its curriculum are so insignificant that there is almost no difference. However, the full (certified) education of dental technician can be now achieved only through studies at medical colleges. Just as in the past, its graduates are prepared for the exercise of their profession in the field of dental prosthetics.

Examples of general and specialized subjects that are taught there

Somatology, stomatology, drawing and modeling, prosthetic technologies, dental prosthetics, making of dentures etc.

Our graduates have either the possibility of entering their careers, or they can continue their studies at colleges or universities.

Regarding the uniqueness of this field of study (just 8 schools of this sort in the whole country), there is no problem for our students to find their position on the job market.

Assistant of a dental technician is prepared to work in dental laboratories, where they work on dental prosthetics, orthodontic devices and various remedial dental facilitations.

Possibilities of employment

Our graduates are able to apply acquired abilities and knowledge to all cases in the field of dental prosthesis and of management, in both - state and private dental laboratories, clinics of medical departments and in other areas such as plastic surgery, dNU, neurology and in research institutions Their know-how may be useful both for producing dental materials and also for the work in business companies that deal with the distribution of exigencies for dentistry.
